Senior matinees are presented free, most Monday afternoons at 1:30 p.m., from March through October. This program is made possible by the generosity of the Daisy Marquis Jones Foundation and a New York State appropriation secured by Senator Joseph Robach.

THE BAND WAGON (1953, Vincente Minnelli, 111 min.)
Nominated for three Oscars, Vincente Minnelli’s The Band Wagon was destined to become one of the best-loved musicals of all time. Fred Astaire and Cyd Charisse have a wonderful time playing high-strung theatre people who spar with a pretentious director (Jack Buchanan) until the whole enterprise is on the brink of disaster. Features theme song “That’s Entertainment!” and glorious Technicolor.
