Film Lost and Found: Magic Lantern Show

Around the World in 90 Minutes; being a Tour of Diverse Parts of the Globe, presented by Joss Marsh with David Francis. This rare glimpse of the art form popular at the close of the 19th century will feature a three-lens magic lantern projector and plate images that move, dance, and tell stories. Hubbell Auditorium, University of Rochester River Campus. Free.

About Film Lost and Found

George Eastman House is teaming up with the University of Rochester and the Eastman School of Music to offer the Film Lost and Found Symposium, celebrating pre- and silent cinema. The four-day event highlights the historic film resources available in Rochester while strengthening ongoing collaborations between these institutions and raising awareness of film scholarship and preservation. The project is funded by the Humanities Project of the University of Rochester’s College of Arts, Sciences, and Engineering.
