Senior Citizens Matinee: Summer Stock

SUMMER STOCK (1950, Charles Walters, 108 min.)
"Forget your troubles, c'mon get happy!" Judy Garland had cares aplenty while filming this dazzling Technicolor musical (her last for MGM) but you wouldn't know it. A radiant Judy plays a struggling Connecticut farm owner who reluctantly plays host to a theatrical troupe and its devilishly charming director, Gene Kelly. The toe-tapping, sing-along songbook includes "You Wonderful You," "If You Feel Like Singing, Sing" and, of course, "Get Happy."
