3-D films at Dryden Theatre Labor Day weekend
Double features present 1980s-style action and horror
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Dryden Theatre at George Eastman House
will be comin' at ya with double feature 3-D films Labor Day weekend, on
Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 1 and 2.
Saturday, Sept. 1
3-D Double Feature/Two films for the price of one!
7 p.m.
AMITYVILLE 3-D (Richard Fleischer, US 1983, 105 min., 35mm) Everyone's
favorite possessed house threatens the lives of an investigative reporter, his
family, and a team of psychic researchers. Tony Roberts, Tess Harper, and Meg
Ryan (in an early big-screen appearance) all take turns screaming and dodging
the superbly executed 3-D effects.
9 p.m.
FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 3 (Steve Miner, US 1982, 96 min, 35mm) This
box-office 3-D smash continues the exploits of Jason Voorhees, the hockey-masked
psycho of Camp Crystal Lake, as he slices and dices his way through another
assemblage of not-so-happy campers.

TREASURE OF THE FOUR CROWNS (EL TESORO DE LAS CUATRO CORONAS,
Ferdinando Baldi, Italy/Spain/US 1983, 97 min., 35mm) In this sleazy but fun 3-D
ripoff of Raiders of the Lost Ark, a group of rugged explorers led by J.T.
Striker (sleepy-eyed Tony Anthony) search for a fortune held by a deadly cult.
9 p.m.
COMIN' AT YA (Ferdinando Baldi, Italy/Spain/US 1981, 91 min., 35mm) A
former gunslinger (Tony Anthony) straps on his weapons again in order to rescue
his wife (Victoria Abril) from a slave ring. The 3-D thrills include slithering
snakes, projectile bullets, and beans that spill all over the audience and
that's just in the opening sequence.
