Eastman House becomes Halloween Haunted House Oct. 26
Go trick-or-treating with your family on third floor of mansion; kids are free!
ROCHESTER, N.Y. —
George Eastman House will celebrate Halloween with tricks, treats, and family fun on Sunday, Oct. 26, from 1 to 4 p.m., as the historic house becomes a Halloween Haunted House for families:
- Trick or Treating! Children are invited to come in costume and experience a trick-or-treat tour of the elaborately decorated third floor of the historic house, which is normally closed to the public. Costumed characters will be posted in mysterious nooks and crannies of the mansion, distributing candy and trinkets amidst the Halloween decor. Experience the mad scientist's latest creation, dance with the Witches of Eastman, and laugh with some friendly vampires.
- Face Painting! Choose from a variety of fun or spooky creations.
- Music! Spooky music will be played on Mr. Eastman's pipe organ throughout the day.
- Crafts! Create and color Halloween-themed crafts.
All activities during the Halloween Haunted House are sponsored by Preferred Care and are included with museum admission. Admission is $8 for adults; $6 for senior citizens (age 60+); $5 for students (ages 13 to 17); and free for children 12 and under (with paid adult admission; two children per adult), as well as members.
