A three-day festival at George Eastman House, which climaxes with an all-day string-band concert on Sunday, Sept. 16. The Friday and Saturday events include an exhibition of rare banjos and ephemera at the museum and ongoing film screenings featuring traditional performers in the Curtis Theatre. 10 a.m. — Join Bob Carlin for a free lecture and booksigning about his new book, The Birth of the Banjo, in the Curtis Theatre.

Ticket Info
Admission $15 adults; $10 members; $5 youth (age 13 to 18); and free to 12 and under, and includes admission to George Eastman House. B.Y.O.B.P.C. — Bring your own bottles, picnics, and chairs.

Exhibition and Films
Running in Eastman House's Curtis Theatre will be a series of films documenting the best of America's rich folk music history, with a special emphasis on the banjo. Films will be accompanied by a display of rare banjos and related ephemera. Included with Museum admission.

Improve your clawhammer banjo skills at any level with master banjoist Bob Carlin:
Beginners: 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Intermediate/Advanced: 2-5 p.m.
