From the East:
Take New York State Thruway to Interstate 490 (Exit 45). Take 490 West to
Exit 19 (Culver Road). Turn right at the top of the exit. Proceed to the third
traffic light (East Avenue) and turn left. George Eastman House is a quarter of
a mile, on the right side of East Avenue.
From the West:
Take New York State Thruway to Interstate 490 (Exit 47-Leroy). Take 490 east
through Downtown Rochester to Exit 17 (Goodman Street). Take a left at the top
of the exit. Proceed to the fourth traffic light (East Avenue) and turn right.
George Eastman House is a quarter of a mile, on the left side of East Avenue.
From the South (Elmira, Corning):
Take Interstate 390 North to Interstate 590 North to Interstate 490 West.
Take 490 West to Exit 19 (Culver Road). Turn right at the top of the exit.
Proceed to the third traffic light (East Avenue) and turn left. George Eastman
House is a quarter of a mile, on the right side of East Avenue.

George Eastman House is located on RTS East Avenue route 17 and University
Avenue route 18.

Parking and
Entrances
Driveways are located off East Avenue and University Avenue. Free parking is
available. Visitors enter through the University Avenue entrance year-round.
Please Note: All visiting groups with school buses or motorcoaches
must use the University Avenue driveway. A map is enclosed in group confirmation
packages.
Accessibility
George Eastman House is accessible to the handicapped via the University
Avenue entrance. The museum galleries, Dryden and Curtis Theatres, cafe, gift
shop, and research areas in the archives building are accessible via elevators
and ramps. Special services are available for the hearing impaired and an
interpreter can be arranged with advance notice. The first floor of the historic
house and the Terrace Garden are accessible via a ramp. The second floor of
the mansion is accessible via a historic house elevator which has limitations.
Please ask any guard, docent or staff member for assistance while in the museum
and specify any special needs while reserving your visit.
