This damaged sheet film positive is an image of U.S. Army Air Force bombers information over German cities, taken by an unidentified photographer.

The stain left by adhesive stuck on a two gelatin silver prints by Lazlo Moholy-Nagy is examined under a microscope in preparation for removal by a staff member in the Kay R. Whitmore conservation Center.

Contract conservator Mirasol Estrada works on repairing a mounting for a photograph by Lazlo Moholy-Nagy.

Mirasol Estrada positions the an Artax X-ray fluorescence (XRF) scanner over a daguerreotype plate as part of a conservation research project. The equipment, on loan to the Museum from the German manufacturer Bruker AXS, reads the composition of an object at the elemental level.
